Washio

Washio

Washio provided on-demand laundry and dry cleaning service to six cities throughout the U.S. The Los Angeles-based company was backed by an eclectic group of investors, including Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang, actor Ashton Kutcher, rapper Nas, activist Yael Cohen, U2 manager Guy Oseary and Canaan Partners.

Agency Byrnes was Washio's PR agency-of-record from March 2014 to January 2016. During that period Agency Byrnes created and executed a highly successful PR campaign focused on advising the press and consumers alike about Washio's services. The effort resulted in extensive earned media coverage in local, national and international news outlets. When Washio announced its $10.5 million Series A funding round, Agency Byrnes coordinated coverage in the New York Times DealBook, TechCrunchBetaBeat and elsewhere, and live appearances by Washio CEO Jordan Metzner on Bloomberg TV and Wall Street Journal Live.

As Washio continued its national growth, Agency Byrnes facilitated additional media coverage in USA Today, Business Insider, UrbanDaddyThe Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, Bloomberg, CNBC, CBS Sunday Morning, and many others.
